Roles

Roles provide the access control to various aspects of Xray Zero, including the form generators themselves. Users do not have access to anything without a Role assigned to them which grants access to things. Multiple roles can be applied to a User to grant additional accesses. Since Roles only grant access, overlap between them is irrelevant.

Roles can be configured at a very granular level, illustrated by following examples:

• The "Police Officer" Role allows access to all the forms.
• A "Detective" role could be added with permissions granted for Links, Locations, Presets, and Glossary Items.
• A "Sergeant" Role could be added with permission to "View Statistics" to see how many documents are being generated.
